Patti brings a strong leadership background coupled with a commitment to The Center鈥檚 mission. She most recently served at the Justice Resource Institute (JRI) as a Senior Vice President, overseeing the MassHealth reform initiative and the Developing Abilities Program, providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Prior to joining JRI in 2017, Patti worked in various leadership positions in Human Services leading operations and business development initiatives nationally, partnering with officials in state government to develop services for individuals of all ages and abilities to thrive in community based settings. Patti is a licensed clinical social worker with expertise in child welfare, complex trauma and community based services. She holds an MSW from Boston College.

The ceremony included Waltham City Councilor George Darcy and Lynn Musto, the Acton Site Director of the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. The featured speaker for the ceremony included historian Alex Green, Gann Academy Instructor and former Chairperson of the Waltham Historical Commission

The program also included a moment of silence, a violin performance, a poetic reading (which is listed below), the sharing of thoughts from people in attendance, a reading of the names of those buried at Metfern and the laying of flowers at each grave.

Metfern Cemetery was designated as a place of burial for individuals who passed away while residing at either the Metropolitan State Hospital or the Fernald School, both which were located in Waltham. 听These individuals did not have the finances or family members to pay for their burial or funeral. Over 300 people were buried at the Metfern Cemetery. Names do not appear on the graves just a letter and a number to indicate the faith of the deceased and the order of the burials.

Thank you to the event鈥檚 speakers & performers as well as to the members of the New England Peer Leadership Committee for organizing the Metfern Ceremony. In addition thanks to 欧美日b大片 for donating the flowers and to Waverly Place for hosting the luncheon after the ceremony.

欧美日b大片 celebrated the First Day of Summer with a visit from Mo鈥檚 Ice Cream Truck. Both staff and clients enjoyed a variety of treats on what we hope is the first of many beautiful summer afternoons. The celebration also included a fundraiser for the schools that were presented at the 3D Diversity Luncheon this month.

This wonderful evening included great attendance from The Center鈥檚 staff and supporters as well as delicious Flatbread Company fare and a raffle that included Red Sox tickets, Duck Tour and Swan Boat rides, theatre tickets and gift cards to local restaurants and stores. A special 鈥渢hank you鈥� to Basile Oil for donating the Red Sox tickets!

Over $900 was raised through the benefit and raffle. Again, thanks to the Flatbread Company and to everyone for participating in this great Benefit Night! 听Please know that your support helps The Center to continue to provide the people we serve with the opportunity to live a life full of dignity, achievement and hope.

The mission of the Recovery Oriented Culture Group is 鈥淭o support the development of a recovery- oriented culture and recovery-oriented services at the Edinburg Center. Recovery is defined as 鈥渁n individualized and self-determined process that is driven by hope and undertaken for wellness, growth and healing.鈥�
